Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is seeking a Helper to assist the refuse truck driver on pre‑assigned routes, handling garbage, yard waste and recycling with safety and courtesy. You will load and unload items, operate the truck’s packing mechanism, and help keep residential areas clean.

Communication with residents and staff is essential, and you may respond to emergencies or assist other routes as needed. A positive attitude and teamwork are required to maintain efficient service.

• Be able to read, write and comprehend reports well enough to complete daily assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assists Driver on pre-assigned and special routes to pick up garbage, yard waste, or recycling.
• Picks up solid waste and places it in the back of a rear load garbage truck.
• Cleans behind the compactor blade and sprays the hopper and truck as needed.
• Directs the Driver from the ground to safely back up the truck.
• Responds to resident questions and directs them to Customer Service or government offices as needed.
• Performs other routine duties and may work during emergency situations.
