Job summary

Responsibilities

• Loads solid waste into the rear loader on assigned routes.
• Provides courteous customer service and supports municipal goals.
• Ensures proper pickup and transfer of garbage and recyclables.
• Answers residents' questions and directs them to Customer Service or appropriate government office.
• Follows ANSI, OSHA, and company safety policies.
• Assists Driver by guiding backing up from the ground.
• Cleans behind the compactor blade and hopper at shift end or as needed.
• Reports safety or service issues to driver or supervisor immediately.
• Performs cleanup of scattered refuse and replaces containers as needed.
• May work during emergencies.
• Assists other routes as needed to complete daily work.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
