Waste Pro USA Inc. in Fort Myers area is seeking a Residential Helper to support refuse truck operations on pre-assigned routes. The role involves manual lifting, loading waste, and providing courteous customer service to residents on each route.

Responsibilities include ensuring proper pickup of garbage and recyclables, assisting the driver with back-up movements, and maintaining cleanliness around the truck and hopper. Safety compliance is required at all times.

Responsibilities

• Picks up solid waste and places it in the back of a rear load garbage truck on specified routes, often manually or by pushing toter.
• Provides courteous, expeditious customer service to the public and customers.
• Ensures garbage and recyclables are picked up and transferred properly; may use back door.
• Answers questions for residents and directs them to Customer Service or government offices for more info.
• Complies with ANSI, OSHA and Waste Pro safety policies.
• Assists driver in safely backing up the truck from ground level.
• Cleans behind the compactor blade and at the end of each shift.
• Reports safety or customer service issues to driver and supervisor.
• Performs manual cleanup of scattered refuse and spills; ensures containers are replaced.
• May work during emergency situations.
• Assists other routes as needed to complete daily work.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
