Job summary

UCAN in Chicago seeks a Residential Supervisor to oversee the residential unit(s) and supervise Residential Treatment Specialists. The role supports therapeutic programming and ensures service delivery aligns with program standards.

You will guide crisis interventions, supervise staff, and collaborate across UCAN programs to maintain a therapeutic milieu and high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• BSW or BA/BS in Human Service Field required.
• At least 3 years experience in behavioral health required.
• One year supervisory experience in behavioral health preferred.
• Experience working in residential facilities or psychiatric facilities.
• Therapeutic Crisis Intervention certified or obtains within 30 days of employment.
• First Aid/CPR certified or obtains within 30 days of employment.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Monitors completion and content of written documentation for accuracy and timeliness.
• Assists in planning and implementing therapeutic activities for residents.
• Ensures the program schedule is followed with timely interventions.
• Provides supervision to Residential Treatment Specialists.
• Develops and implements clinical programming for residents.
• Coordinates services with multiple UCAN programs to ensure appropriate services and teamwork.
