Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Lead Direct Support Provider to join our Residential Services team in North Carolina. This role leads a DSP team, provides direct care to individuals with IDD/MH needs, and ensures a safe, person-centered home environment.

Responsibilities include supervising shifts, medication administration, and coordinating with clinical staff to implement care plans. A valid NC driver’s license is required, with weekend and additional weekday shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience with IDD or MH preferred.
• Valid NC driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support DSPs during assigned shifts.
• Assist residents with daily tasks and medication administration.
• Follow care plans and document changes.
• Promote skill-building, social activities, and community involvement.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with team.
• Ensure safe, respectful home environment.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
