Catholic Charities of Baltimore’s Villa Maria School seeks a Teaching Assistant-Residential to support education and care for emotionally disabled children within a residential and school setting.

The role involves helping with daily tasks, supervising children, and aiding in classroom activities Monday through Friday, 7am–3:00pm. Driving may be required to transport children to appointments and activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus 2 years’ experience working with children or vulnerable populations.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field with experience is preferred.
• Requires ability to walk/stand and intervene in crisis situations.

Responsabilités

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and provide 1:1 or small-group instruction.
• Serve as substitute for absent teachers as needed.
• Supervise and model positive behavior for children in residence and school.
• Escort children between residence and Villa Maria School and accompany to appointments.
