Job summary

Action for Children is seeking a Residential Support Worker to create a warm, safe home where a young person can thrive. You will build positive relationships, promote independence, and support personal goals within a structured team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience of working in a care setting and developing positive relationships through trust.
• Good communications skills and the ability to engage well with young people, colleagues and professionals.
• Demonstrate a solution focused approach and commitment to completing required qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing and managing risk.
• Coordinate responsibilities within the service with multi-agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports.
• Attend professional meetings including reviews, court work, etc.
• Help young people in all aspects of their daily lives, supporting wellbeing and independence.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to engage with young people, colleagues and other professionals.
