Wilderness Way is hiring a Children's Residential Support Worker to help young people feel safe, valued and supported in a nurturing home environment.

You'll build positive relationships, support education and wellbeing, and promote independence through trauma-informed approaches. Senior roles offer mentoring and leadership opportunities within the home, with a clear path for career progression and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping children.
• Be 21 or over due to requirements in residential care.
• Willingness to work towards a Level 3 qualification if not already held.
• Have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
• Hold a full UK driving licence and be comfortable driving as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
• Create a safe, structured and nurturing home environment.
• Support children with education, health and wellbeing.
• Encourage independence, confidence and resilience.
• Help children access new experiences and opportunities.
• Support children to express their wishes, feelings and aspirations.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to support emotional wellbeing.
• Work with Managers, Therapists and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes.
