Job summary

Monarch Healthcare in North Carolina seeks a dedicated direct care worker to support individuals in a residential setting. Sleepovers are required, with responsibilities including assessing needs, building community connections, and promoting independence.

The role requires a High School Diploma and a valid driver’s license. You will participate in trainings, document progress, and ensure safety and rights protection for those served.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people who have mental health diagnoses, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders.
• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to follow service definitions and complete required documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess people’s hopes, dreams, and desires and provide supports to help them achieve them.
• Help individuals build relationships in their community and with natural supports.
• Assist with participating fully in community activities aligned with interests.
• Protect and promote rights, support advocacy, and work with personal advocates as needed.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support as required.
• Document progress and complete required forms, logs, and timesheets.
