Job summary

Volunteers of America Western Washington is seeking Direct Support Professionals to work with adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. You will assist with activities of daily living, health and safety, and community integration, while documenting progress and coordinating with the team.

The role requires a high school diploma (or GED), willingness to obtain NAR/CNA/HCA within 120 days, and a WA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must obtain an NAR, CNA, or HCA credential within 120 days of employment.
• Washington State driver’s license and ability to transport clients in an agency vehicle.
• Must have and maintain an acceptable background check per WAC guidelines.
• Must attend all scheduled training and complete LTC certification within 120 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living and daily living skills.
• Document client progress and incidents per program guidelines; report changes to supervisors.
• Transport clients to community activities and appointments when needed.
• Support medication administration per individual plans and assist with personal care tasks.
