Job summary

Road To Responsibility, Inc. seeks a Residential Support Specialist to help individuals with developmental disabilities live safely, independently, and meaningfully in a residential setting.

You’ll work closely with the Residential Manager and team to provide hands-on support, skill-building, and daily care that improves quality of life for residents, families, and the community.

Expect a fast-paced, team-based environment with ongoing training and opportunities to grow within supportive programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1 year direct experience in human services.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and internet.
• Successful completion of mandated trainings including medication administration.
• Willingness to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI).
• Must be able to perform essential duties with reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and skill-building in daily living activities.
• Assist individuals with personal care needs (hygiene, meals, dressing, mobility).
• Support participation in community activities, appointments, and social events.
• Provide transportation as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment.
• Complete daily documentation and shift reports.
• Implement behavioral support plans and safety interventions when needed.
• Assist with medical appointments and related documentation.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing development.
• Provide coaching and support to new staff.
