Job summary

Firefly Supported Living & Employment Services seeks a dedicated Primary Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will implement individualized support plans, train staff, and monitor health and safety while ensuring accurate documentation.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and a passion for empowering clients toward greater independence within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in intellectual/developmental disabilities or completion of Missouri Quality Outcomes training.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized support plans in collaboration with the Program Coordinator.
• Train and support direct support professionals regarding medical needs and client preferences.
• Oversee daily residential notes, goals, and health tracking for accurate documentation.
• Ensure home health, safety, and cleanliness; manage food and supplies storage.
• Schedule staff coverage to maintain continuous client support.
• Track mileage and manage household expenses within budget.
• Coordinate RN visits, special diets, adaptive equipment, and annual paperwork.
• Conduct safety drills and train staff in emergency procedures.
• Submit daily exceptions to the Program Coordinator for review.
