Job summary

Firefly Supported Living & Employment Services in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, seeks a Primary Support Professional to deliver person-centered care in clients’ homes and communities, helping individuals achieve personal goals and live fulfilling lives. The role emphasizes strong communication, collaboration, and compassionate support.

You will implement Individual Support Plans, coordinate daily activities, and provide essential services tailored to each client’s needs, empowering them to thrive

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in intellectual/developmental disabilities or completion of Missouri Quality Outcomes training.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Successful completion of background checks including criminal, driving, abuse/neglect and fingerprint checks.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively in clients’ homes and communities to deliver personalized care.
• Participate in Individual Support Plan meetings and assist with service monitoring visits.
• Train staff on clients’ medical needs and preferences to keep the team informed about medications and compliance.
• Oversee daily documentation, health tracking and implement positive behavioral support strategies when needed.
• Manage household supplies and maintain a safe, clean living environment for clients.
• Collaborate with the Program Coordinator on follow-ups and ensure compliance with medical and training requirements.
