Job summary

Easterseals NH is seeking a Residential Support Counselor to support individuals in our community-based residential homes in Weare, NH. This full-time role covers evening and weekend shifts with a wage of $24 per hour.

You will help with daily living activities, companionship, and following each resident's care plan while ensuring safety and independence. Applicants should have 1 year in Human Services, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in Human Services field.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence, create a safe environment, and provide companionship to clients in a residential home.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living and medication administration.
• Support and assist with household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Accompany individuals on outings such as daily activities, appointments, and community events.
• Follow each individual's care plan.
• All staff will undergo training in conflict resolution and behavioral health safety.
• Complete required daily documentation.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.
