Job summary

Easterseals NH is seeking a Residential Support Counselor to assist three adult men in a Hooksett, NH residential home. The role focuses on promoting independence, safety, companionship, and helping with daily living activities.

Schedule is 30 hours per week at $24 per hour, Thu-Fri-Sat. Easterseals NH offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible full-time staff and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with high-need/high-risk populations in human services.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18+ years old and possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities and medication administration.
• Support light housekeeping, meal prep, and laundry.
• Accompany clients on outings and community activities.
• Follow each individual's care plan.
• Complete required daily documentation and training in safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the home:

This is a home in the Hooksett area supporting 3 adult men.

Responsibilities:

The Residential Support Counselor will support in promoting independence, creating a safe environment, and providing companionship to clients in a residential home setting.

• Assist clients with activities of daily living and medication administration
• Support and assist with household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry
• Accompany individuals on outings such as daily activities, appointments, and community events
• Follow each individuals care plan
• All staff will undergo training in conflict resolution and behavioral health safety
• Complete required daily documentation
• Other duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications:

• (1) year of relevant work experience working with high need/high risk population in the human services field
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance
