Job summary

The Epiphany Center in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor for its residential program. You will provide direct support and counseling for residents while maintaining a safe, structured environment.

You will collaborate with residents, children, counselors, and the treatment team to support recovery, daily living, and progress toward independence. Strong emphasis on trauma-informed care and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Registration or certification as AOD counselor (CAADE/CCAPP/CADTP) preferred.
• Experience with Epic or willingness to complete Epic training.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed support and substance use recovery services to residents.
• Supervise residents and their children during daily activities.
• Facilitate recovery-focused groups and program activities.
• Provide crisis intervention and address safety concerns as needed.
• Maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
• Complete timely client documentation and required records.
• Use Epic to support documentation and workflows.
• Communicate resident information to treatment team and collaborate across shifts.
