Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Tacoma is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Professional II to provide direct counseling in a secure residential setting and manage a caseload of 8–10 clients. The role emphasizes assessment, treatment planning using ASAM criteria, and collaboration with community services.

The position requires an associate degree, an active SUDP license, and up to three years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess an associate’s degree and the required certificate that qualifies them to be a Substance Use Disorder Professional.
• Must hold an active SUDP license from the Washington State Department of Health.
• Up to three years’ experience in the field.
• Pre-hire and annual employee health screening and TB testing required.

Responsibilities

• Must carry a minimum caseload of 8 to 10 active cases.
• Provides screening and evaluation of individuals and refers them as needed to other treatment/service programs.
• Provides individual and group counseling for persons in the process of recovering from chemical dependency and related issues.
• Serves as the primary case manager for a group of up to ten youth.
• Maintains professional records and completes required reports and forms for treatment directors and agencies.
