LADGOV Corporation in Darby, Montana, seeks a qualified Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor to provide prevention, education, counseling, intervention, and recovery-support services to young adults in a residential education and vocational training environment.

The counselor will conduct screenings, provide individual and group counseling, coordinate referrals, administer testing procedures, and collaborate with healthcare, counseling, education, recreation, and residential staff.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted license or certification for substance-abuse counseling.
• Education and training sufficient to qualify for the Montana credential.
• Ability to maintain required credentials and liability insurance.
• Knowledge of screening, prevention, intervention, counseling, and referral practices.
• Ability to work with adolescents and young adults from diverse backgrounds.
• Final client approval is required before starting work.

Responsabilités

• Conduct substance-use screenings and intake interviews.
• Provide individual and group counseling on alcohol and other drugs.
• Develop and maintain intervention and support plans.
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with healthcare and staff.
• Maintain confidential records and prepare monthly/quarterly reports.
• Support tobacco-use prevention and healthy lifestyle programming.
• Organize substance-use prevention activities and participate in staff meetings.
