Job summary

Yourchrc is seeking compassionate and motivated counselors in Beardstown, IL to address substance use disorders in our community. Duties include individual, family, and group counseling, with formal screening, assessment, and treatment planning, plus liaison work with courts and probation and related paperwork.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or bachelor’s degree, with CADC certification to be obtained within two years.

Job description

Substance use disorders are an epidemic in our community and we are searching for compassionate, reliable, highly-motivated counselors to make a difference in the lives of those who are affected daily by substance use disorders.

Duties would include providing counseling for individuals, families and/or other groups regarding substance use issues. This includes screening, assessment, treatment planning and facilitating individual and group sessions, as well as communicating with the courts, probation, and other referral sources and completing necessary paperwork. The Counselor would comply with surveys, site visits, and all applicable rules and regulations.

Candidate must possess a high school diploma, a bachelors degree and/or experience is preferred. Possessing or having the ability to obtain certification (within 2 years) as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC) is required. Candidate must be able to pass all required background checks and posses a valid driver's license is required.
