Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted substance-abuse counseling license or Kentucky-certified credentials.
• Education, training, and qualification requirements for the credential.
• Maintain required licenses, certifications, credentials, accreditations, and insurance.
• Knowledge of substance-use assessment, prevention, counseling, intervention, recovery support, case management, and referrals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct substance-use screenings, assessments, intake reviews, and other evaluations.
• Provide individual and group counseling for substance misuse and relapse prevention.
• Develop, monitor, and update intervention and behavioral-support plans.
• Introduce students to recovery resources and community treatment options.
• Coordinate services for co-occurring substance-use and mental-health concerns.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, educators, and residential personnel for coordinated care.
• Support education, vocational training, and residential life through interventions.
