Job summary

The Arc of San Diego is hiring a Residential Specialist to provide direct care in a home-like setting for individuals with disabilities. You will use a person-centered approach to empower clients toward independence, daily living skills, and meaningful participation.

Based in Santee with a Thu-Sat 7a-3p schedule, the role offers competitive pay and benefits, paid training, and opportunities for career advancement within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Valid California Driver's License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• A passion for making a difference!
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Experience using case management systems (Therap preferred) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily activities like personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, getting dressed and undressed, mobility, and personal organization.
• Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Create a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment.

About the Role:

As a Residential Specialist, you'll provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home environment. Using a person-centered approach, you'll empower clients to engage in daily life, make choices, and gain independence.

Location: Santee

Schedule: Thurs- Sat 7a-3p

Pay: The pay for this position is $20.00 to $20.65.
