Job summary

Waystone Health & Human Services is seeking a compassionate direct care worker (Residential Skills Instructor or Awake Overnight) to support four individuals in a Methuen, MA group home. The role includes ADL assistance, documentation, and transportation responsibilities with a caregiver-focused, safety-first approach.

You will work part-time hours, with a schedule that includes evenings and weekends. MAP and CPR/First Aid training are offered, and a competitive benefits package is provided to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend English to follow care plans and document services.
• Experience providing training, case management and services to adults with IDD in the community.
• MAP (Medication Administration Program) Certification offered within 6 months.
• CPR/First Aid training offered within 3 months.
• Valid Driver’s License with at least 1 year driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including hygiene, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, transferring and meal prep.
• Transport individuals using wheelchair-accessible vans to appointments and community activities.
• Complete Individual Support Plans (ISP) and track progress toward personal goals.
• Maintain daily logs and behavioral data.
