Job summary

Embark Behavioral Health in Independence, MO is hiring a Residential Shift Supervisor to lead and support a team caring for adolescents ages 12–17 in our residential program. You will coach youth mentors, help run daily operations, and foster a safe, structured environment where staff and residents thrive.

The role requires 1–2 years of leadership experience, a high school diploma or GED, and CPR/First Aid certification where possible.

Qualifications

• Age 21 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
• Quick decision-making abilities and a growth mindset aligned with Embark's core values.
• 1–2 years of leadership experience preferred, especially in adolescent programs.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training provided).
• Background checks including pre-employment drug screening and federal/state checks as per Missouri laws.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Lodge Operations: Ensure smooth daily operations during shift, adhering to procedures and safety plans.
• Lead and Support Staff: Supervise and mentor up to 5 employees, providing guidance, onboarding, and training.
• Design and Facilitate Activities: Craft and lead activities to help teens develop coping skills and responsibility.
• Contribute to Treatment Planning: Provide feedback in treatment team meetings to shape goals and interventions.
• Ensure Safety Compliance: Implement and follow safety plans in the treatment model.
• Participate in Rotating On-Call Duty: Serve as on-call supervisor once every six weeks for one week.
