Job summary

OhioGuidestone seeks a paraprofessional clinical staff member to supervise clients in a domestic violence shelter and provide crisis intervention support. The role includes facilitating admissions, assisting with case management, and coordinating with counselors to ensure client safety.

Responsibilities span documentation, crisis response, and collaborative work with Harbor House staff to deliver comprehensive services and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in crisis intervention or shelter settings is preferred.
• Ability to document client interactions accurately and confidentially.
• Strong communication skills for staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Complete client paperwork and maintain accurate records.
• Answer crisis line and assess admission or refer as needed.
• Answer business line and relay messages to staff.
• Attend agency meetings and provide input.
• Supervise clients and assist in shelter maintenance.
• Maintain shelter coverage seven days a week.
• Promote efficient use of agency resources.
• Ensure confidentiality and uphold client rights.
• Provide support to residents and assist safety planning.
• Transport clients to appointments when required.
• Attend trauma-informed care trainings and related certifications.
