Language fluency in Spanish is noted as a plus, with compensation at $26.50 per hour. The role includes front desk duties, rounds of the building, meals assistance, and collaboration with Shelter Manager and program teams.

Qualifications

• Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish a plus.
• Experience supporting participants, clients or staff in a nonprofit setting is helpful.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shift coverage and ensure a safe, orderly environment for participants.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with staff, police, fire, or medical responders as needed.
• Provide front desk duties, relay messages, and share information on available services.
• Conduct facility rounds, assist with intakes, and facilitate interventions as necessary.
• Perform daily cleaning, kitchen duties, and assist in preparing units for incoming families.
• Promote teamwork and a respectful, dignified workplace aligned with HF policies.
• Provide varying shift coverage as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested.
