Job summary

Shelter House in Virginia seeks a Residential Coordinator to provide essential 24-hour awake coverage and supervision of the domestic violence shelter. You will be the lead on shift, handling crisis intervention, safety, and client support to maintain a positive living environment.

Responsibilities include logging interactions, collaborating with case managers, accompanying clients to court, and ensuring compliance with agency policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in human services.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients and team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour awake coverage and supervision of the shelter.
• Serve as first point of contact for client needs and crisis intervention.
• Maintain the daily log and document interactions.
• Work with case managers to support service plans.
• Accompany clients to court and appointments.
• Ensure safety, confidentiality, and proper documentation.
