Job summary

Shelter House in Fairfax County seeks a Residential Coordinator to provide 24-hour awake coverage and lead shift supervision of the domestic violence shelter. You will be the first point of contact for clients, manage crisis intervention, oversee front desk operations, and maintain a safe, welcoming living environment while safeguarding residents and property.

Responsibilities include coordinating with case managers, accompanying clients to court, documenting daily interactions, ensuring policy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in human services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour awake coverage and supervision of the domestic violence shelter.
• Be the first point of contact for client needs and support; crisis intervention and safety planning.
• Document daily interactions and maintain shelter logs; ensure confidentiality and safety.
• Coordinate with case managers and accompany clients to court and appointments.
• Ensure documentation adheres to agency policies and best practices and participate in trainings.
