Job summary

SCO Family of Services is seeking a Residence Manager to oversee daily operations of a residential program for individuals with developmental needs. You will supervise direct support staff, ensure care plans are followed, coordinate medical needs, and maintain rigorous documentation and safety standards.

Responsibilities include staff training, performance reviews, incident reporting, and budgeting for supplies.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma; associate’s degree preferred.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and willingness to obtain required certifications.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or related needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure people supported receive care per Circle of Support plans (Life plans, CFAs).
• Monitor and support implementation of program plans and behavior support strategies.
• Maintain community inclusion activities (minimum three weekly).
• Create and manage recreation calendar and menu planning.
• Coordinate medical needs with providers and document promptly.
• Supervise DSPs, conduct on‑floor observations, and provide feedback.
• Assist with staff scheduling and fill gaps as needed.
• Conduct and document staff performance evaluations; train new staff.
• Lead weekly supervision with full‑time staff and complete end‑of‑shift reports.
• Ensure incident documentation per OPWDD standards.
• Maintain all documentation (assignment sheets, notes, incident reports).
• Oversee procurement and budget alignment (food/supply orders, Coupa expenditures).
• Conduct weekly facility walkthroughs and document findings.
• Maintain Fire Safety Book; ensure training and maintenance docs are up to date.
• Schedule and oversee vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
• Act as Residence Manager in absence; ensure ongoing operations and compliance.
• Participate in monthly staff meetings and ongoing program development.
