Job summary

S:US is seeking a Shift Supervisor for their men's shelter in Brooklyn, located at 599 Ralph Avenue. The role involves supervising residential aides and coordinators, and coordinating schedules, security, and maintenance tasks.

A high school diploma plus 2+ years in security or building maintenance is required, with an F-80 certification due within 6 months of employment. The position emphasizes leadership, crisis intervention, and strong writing and organizational skills in a large residential

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in Security or Building Maintenance.
• Ability to provide crisis intervention with strong interpersonal skills and maturity.
• Experience in office management and/or staff supervision.
• Experience in large residential/institutional settings with special needs.
• Strong writing, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• F-80 Certificate of Fitness for Coordinator of Fire Safety and Alarms within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and training to residential aides and community coordinators.
• Coordinate work schedules, timesheets, and time-off requests.
• Coordinate work assignments and maintain documentation.
• Manage security and maintenance staff training, development and evaluation.
• May perform duties of residential aides or custodial staff when needed.
