Job summary

CAMBA, Inc. in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Security Guard to monitor security and fire safety across the facility, perform patrols, and ensure doors and exits comply with regulations.

You will support crisis prevention, observe irregularities, and document incidents; must have a high school diploma, NYS Security Guard license, and complete required trainings. The role is full-time (35 hours per week) with benefits including health, dental, 403(b) retirement plan with employer match, paid time off

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Must have 8 hour Pre-Assignment security guard training certificate.
• Must obtain 16 hour On-the-Job security guard training certificate within 90 days of employment.
• Must complete 8 Hour Annual In-Service Course each calendar year.
• Must have and maintain a NYS Security Guard license.
• Must obtain NYS Security Guard registration and maintain it during employment.
• Must obtain Fire guard certification and maintain it throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure the security and fire safety of the entire facility.
• Employ crisis prevention/intervention and crisis management skills when conflict occurs.
• Patrol buildings and grounds of CAMBA programs.
• Examine doors, windows, gates and all fire exits for security and regulations compliance.
• Observe and report irregularities such as unusual tenant behavior, trespassers and hazards.
• Monitor tenants and facility via security cameras.
• Conduct fire safety patrols and report findings to supervisors.
• Conduct security screenings of all tenants and visitors entering the facility.
• Maintain and update security logs and incident reports.
