Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado seeks a Residential Relief team member to cover shifts and manage the facility for multiple programs serving chronically homeless individuals and families. The role supports housing stability, safety, and program operations from the front desk to crisis de-escalation.

The role requires knowledge of HMIS/ServicePoint, teamwork, and the ability to train volunteers while maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related area or equivalent human services experience.
• One-year direct human service experience.
• Strong organizational and planning skills; works well in a team and independently.
• Background checks including fingerprinting within 30 days of hire.
• Willing to obtain first aid, AED/CPR and Narcan training.

Responsibilities

• Provide shift coverage and manage the facility during assigned hours.
• Document participant interactions and eligibility data; use ServicePoint and HMIS.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness; de-escalate conflicts as needed.
• Coordinate with staff to deliver housing stability services.
• Assist in volunteer training and supervision; ensure proper tracking.
