Job summary

Gilead Community Services is seeking a Recovery Care Manager for the New Britain area, working Sunday to Tuesday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM (24 hours per week). The role provides oversight and intervention in a men’s residential substance abuse program, supporting residents in their recovery and ensuring program compliance and well-being.

Responsibilities include documentation, shift notes, and maintaining a safe environment while adhering to DMHAS standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Volunteer or related work experience strongly preferred.
• Must maintain valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing.
• Reliable use of personal vehicle as needed.

Responsibilities

• Understand residents’ needs and support recovery-oriented goals.
• Provide oversight and monitor adherence to program rules.
• Supervise medication self-administration, collect urine samples, and conduct breathalyzer tests.
• Complete intake and shift notes; maintain visitor log.
• Help ensure safety and cleanliness of the living environment.
• Demonstrate compassion, integrity, and ethics.
