Job summary

Gilead Community Services is seeking a Recovery Care Manager for a 32-hour weekly overnight role in the New Britain area. The position focuses on oversight, monitoring, and intervention in a men’s residential program, supporting residents in recovery and program goals, with documentation and shift notes maintained as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with preferred college education, a valid driver’s license, and reliable personal vehicle use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Previous volunteer or related work experience strongly preferred
• Must maintain and provide proof of valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing
• Reliable use of personal vehicle as needed

Responsibilities

• Understand residents’ needs with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues through training
• Provide recovery-oriented services emphasizing dignity, respect, and family involvement
• Oversee residents, monitor rules, supervise medication self-administration, collect urine samples, and conduct breathalyzer tests
• Complete intake paperwork, shift notes, and maintain the residential visitor log
• Attend to safety and cleanliness of the program’s environment
• Act with compassion, integrity, and ethics
