Kahen Properties is a New York City–based real estate management and development company overseeing a residential portfolio with an active development pipeline. We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support operations, leasing, tenant relations, and financial reporting.

This role offers hands-on exposure to property management in a growing NYC firm. You will work closely with the Property Manager and ownership to ensure smooth operations and compliant, well-documented property records.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in residential property management or related real estate role.
• Familiar with NYC housing regulations and compliance a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Yardi knowledge a plus.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for tenant inquiries and complaints.
• Coordinate maintenance with in-house staff and vendors.
• Assist with leasing activities including showings and renewals.
• Support rent collection and arrears tracking.
• Maintain tenant, lease, and property records in PMS.
• Help ensure NYC housing regulation compliance.
• Prepare reports, notices, and routine correspondence.
• Conduct periodic property inspections and address deficiencies.
• Support Property Manager and ownership on special projects.
