Job summary

Golub & Company LLC, a Chicago-based real estate leader, is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at Prairie Shores, a 1,675-unit portfolio in Bronzeville. You will support leasing activities, manage budgets, and supervise staff to ensure excellent resident service.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree preference, 1–3 years in leasing/property management, and a Illinois leasing agent license (or ability to obtain). On-site role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum 1–3 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in leasing or property management.
• Illinois leasing agent license required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Uses monthly late notices and other communications to collect past due balances.
• Enters vendor invoices into accounting software and routes for payment.
• Supports leasing activities: touring prospects, processing applications, and preparing leases.
• Coordinates lease renewals and discusses renewal options with residents.
• Responds to resident inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
• Participates in annual management plan and property budget.
• Assists in preparing leasing reports and financial reporting packages for ownership.
• Oversees property staff, assigns tasks, and guides day-to-day operations when PM is absent.
• Oversees engineering, maintenance and security operations; conducts inspections.
• Negotiates vendor contracts and manages vendor performance.
• Works with third-party providers and maintains insurance certificates for vendors/residents.
• Assists in move-in/move-out processes and coordinates resident events.
