Job summary

Rose Associates Inc. seeks a highly motivated Residential Property Handyperson to maintain and repair our residential assets. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repairs and carpentry to ensure safe, comfortable living spaces for residents.

On-site presence is required; you will perform safety inspections, manage equipment and inventory, and respond to after-hours maintenance requests while collaborating with tenants, staff, and vendors. EPA 608 certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; handyman experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and building codes.
• EPA 608 Universal certification or ability to obtain.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Yardi software.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential units, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and carpentry tasks.
• Address minor HVAC issues, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair appliances; coordinate with vendors for replacements.
• Paint and drywall repairs to maintain a fresh appearance throughout the property.
• Repair and replace flooring materials, ensuring safety and aesthetics.
• Conduct apartment turns and maintain the maintenance shop and inventory.
• Perform regular safety inspections and address hazards promptly.
• Be available for on-call duties and respond to emergencies outside regular hours.
• Comply with safety and OSHA regulations.
• Must be on-site and able to move through the building to meet tenants, staff, vendors.
• Ascend/descend stairs, work in small spaces, and lift heavy objects (>50 lbs).
• Adapt to varying environmental conditions and climates.
