Job summary

Dead River Company is seeking a Service Technician to install and repair residential and commercial propane and/or oil equipment. You will act as a trusted advisor, protect customer property, and uphold our brand promise while delivering excellent service.

Expect to work independently with safety as a priority, while also contributing to a larger team. Required licenses include Maine Oil Burner and Propane licenses; CETP/PEP training is desirable. Compensation is competitive with benefits.

Qualifications

• Oil burner and/or propane training or CETP/PEP program desired; training provided.
• Minimum of 1 year oil/propane service experience.
• Experience under a Master technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service and repair oil/propane heating equipment in code-compliant ways.
• Perform efficiency tests, tune-ups, and service inspections.
• Ensure safety and quality on first visit to minimize callbacks.
• Deliver professional, courteous service and explain options to customers.
• Maintain inventory and accurately log parts and labor on calls.
• Assist in training apprentices as needed.
