Community Resources For Justice (CRJ) in Gardner, MA seeks a Program Manager to supervise delivery of high-quality residential services and lead CRJ’s Community Strategies operations. This role coordinates staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports community integration for individuals with DD/ID.

The position requires management experience in human services, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to engage stakeholders, families, and funders across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
• Two years of management experience in Human Services, preferred.
• Three years of experience with DD or ID populations, management experience preferred.
• Bilingual, bicultural, encouraged.
• Prior experience in residential treatment and/or community-based group homes, preferred.
• Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write detailed and extensive reports.
• Excellent expressive language skills, both in 1:1 and group settings; adjust to listeners.
• Excellent receptive language skills; actively listen to varying competence levels.
• Develop constructive, cooperative working relationships and maintain them over time.
• Represent CRJ when interacting with funding sources, guardians, families and other stakeholders.
• Pass First Aid, CPR, PABC and all training required by Residential Counselors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises daily residential and program activities including supervision of staff, maintenance of residence, and teaching personal care of the consumers.
• Ensure high-quality residential services to all individuals delivered within a team management approach
• Able to apply all the basic tenants of Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) in work with individuals and staff
• Represent CRJ/CS in meetings with stakeholders, including funders, families, guardians, regulatory and review committees and agencies
• Hire, train, supervise and manage the performance of program operations staff with particular focus on each of the Residential Directors.
• Provide on-call support in the evening and on weekends for the group home(s) in conjunction with the Residential Director, Clinical Department and Nursing Department.
• Organizes and facilitates opportunities for community integration in leisure and vocational areas for all consumers as well as maintaining open communications with the consumers family, service coordinators and responsible outside Departments.
• Helps and supports individuals develop confidence and accountability to the rules of society and the structure of the program.
• Ensures all the proper documentation of individual care in the HCSIS and Electronic Medical Records system as well as trains all staff on the proper handling of information.
• Manages program funds and supervises personal finances for each of the individuals.
• Im plement Policies and Procedures in accordance with the regulations of the State of Massachusetts and consistent with CRJ agency practice
• Researches and utilizes all available means of therapy in relation to each client’s individual needs.
• Implement all behavior plans, ISP objectives, ADL’s, and recreational activities.
• Ensure all performance reviews are conducted annually and provide on-going supervision to all staff.
• Insure that complete and appropriate individual records are maintained in accordance with the Department of Developmental Services and Community Resources for Justice Regulations and policies.
• Ensures duties and responsibilities are carried out in a supportive and professional manner and attends appropriate meetings.
• Performs other job-related projects and activities as requested or directed.
