Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is seeking an experienced Residential Program Manager in Syracuse, NY.

The role leads a team to provide person-centered care tailored to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, supporting day-to-day operations to meet programmatic goals. The position requires coordinating shifts, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with ISP/PCP plans, medication management, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Knowledge of state regulatory agency operations and standards relevant to supporting individuals with ID/DD.
• Employment contingent on background checks and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffed.
• Provide leadership through training, performance management, and staff meetings.
• Develop and implement activity programs including the Meaningful Day curriculum.
• Communicate with families and guardians as needed.
• Ensure individuals are supported per ISP/PCP including medication management and meal planning.
• Maintain program documentation and billable records accurately and timely.
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns.
