Job summary

Pathway to Possible is a congregate care facility in Newton, MA, providing housing and support for adults with developmental disabilities. The Program Manager ensures high-quality services, supervises staff, oversees med distribution, and manages administrative duties with DDS and DPH guidance.

The role emphasizes safeguarding residents, coordinating care, budgeting, and maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred.
• Graduate degree and/or 5 years program management experience preferred.
• Commitment to the empowerment of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Familiarity with the DDS delivery system
• First Aid and CPR certified; experience with individuals with complicated medical needs is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across the P2P Community.

Responsibilities

• Follow all policies and procedures outlined by Pathway to Possible and related policies.
• Provide regular documented supervision and feedback to direct service staff.
• Schedule and approve staffing to provide 24/7 coverage at the home.
• Provide up to 10 weeks of on-call coverage per year.
• Be an active member of a management team and participate in agency-wide events and training.
• Hold monthly staff meetings and conduct annual staff evaluations.
• Ensure residents’ health care and dietary needs are met and medications are administered correctly.
• Maintain knowledge of residents' financial resources and ensure entitlement benefits are utilized.
• Ensure safety programs and policies are implemented and updated.
• Develop and implement ISP plans in accordance with guidelines.
