Job summary

Next Steps Community Services is seeking a Program Manager to oversee an adult residential program. You will supervise Direct Support Professionals and Team Leaders, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care and compliance with licensing.

You will coordinate with Area Agencies, families, guardians, and health professionals, support individuals to reach their goals, and model compassionate, safe, and collaborative leadership in a group home setting in Effingham, NH.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work in the United States.
• At least 21 years old and willing to complete a criminal background check.
• Experience in human services or direct care roles preferred.

Hiring Requirements:

• Previous Experience Required

Summary:The Program Manager has direct oversight of an adult residential program providing support to individuals diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Program Manager is the direct liaison between Next Steps and the Area Agencies and or funding sources, family members, guardians, external health care professionals and any other ancillary service providers. The Program Manager is responsible to ensure the overall physical and mental health and wellness of the individuals and to assist them in attaining their goals. The Program Manager is responsible in ensuring the highest quality of services are being delivered to the individuals. The Program Manager is responsible in ensuring that the program is adhering to all certification and licensing requirements. The Program Manager is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all program and client documentation.

Staff assists each individual to become more productive and active members of their community. Next Steps Community Services offers onsite services and supports provided by highly trained staff. This includes an array of services to enhance the quality of life for each person served. Individualized clinical and behavioral treatment; counseling services; independent living skill development; vocational/educational skill development; and relationship-oriented coaching, mentoring, and teaching are the staples offered at this program.

Ongoing Training:We provide all staff training and staff are paid to attend these trainings. First Aid, CPR, MOAB, Medication Administration Program, Fire Safety, OSHA, Human/Client Rights Training.

Candidates with the following experience are encouraged to apply:

• DSP Team Lead, Direct Support Professional (DSP), Caregiver, Residential Counselor, Support Staff, Direct Care Staff, or Group Home Staff experience
• Background in human services or direct care roles.

Candidates with knowledge in any of these areas are encouraged to apply:

• Supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Person-centered support, behavioral support, and positive behavior strategies
• Independent living skills, life-skills coaching, community integration, and daily living support
