Job summary

Communitas, Inc. is seeking a Residential Program Coordinator to oversee three group homes in the Wakefield, MA area. This salaried role requires 40 hours weekly, with flexible scheduling to meet agency needs and 24/7 on-call coverage for emergencies.

The role includes sourcing and supervising staff, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring high-quality, person-centered services. A Bachelor’s in education or related field is preferred, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, including

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Services or related field highly preferred; with 3 years’ experience working with adults with developmental disabilities of which two years include supervisory experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee program operations of three group homes within the cluster.
  • Source, screen, interview and hire candidates.
  • Supervise assigned employees including performance evaluations and payroll timesheets.
  • Conduct cluster meetings with Directors & Assistant Directors; perform regular audits of program systems.
  • Train new Program Directors in day-to-day home operations; assist with Survey & Certification.
  • Provide staff with problem solving and advocacy on all program-related issues.

The role!

Position: Residential Program Coordinator

Location: Based in Wakefield, MA

Pay rate: Starting at $74,880 per year

Hours: This is a salaried position working 40 hours per week. The schedule can be flexible depending on the candidate but must meet the needs of the agency. This position also requires 24/7 on call for emergencies.

Summary & Responsibilities

The Program Coordinator is responsible for programmatic oversight of three group homes within their cluster.

  • Responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing and selecting candidates for hiring.
  • Responsible for the supervision of assigned employees including regular supervision and performance evaluations as well as reviewing and approving timesheets for payroll.
  • Oversee all program operations of residential homes. Conduct cluster meeting with Directors & Assistant Directors. Responsible for conducting regular audits of program systems.
  • Trains new Program Directors in the day-to-day operation of the home, including administrative duties.
  • In conjunction with Director of Residential Services, prepares and participates in Survey & Certification.
  • Provides staff with necessary problem solving and advocacy on all program-related issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Services or related field highly preferred; with 3 years’ experience working with adults with developmental disabilities of which two years include supervisory experience. High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • A passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
  • Must pass company background and reference checks
