Job summary

New Haven, a residential mental health treatment center in Spanish Fork, Utah, is hiring a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for youth receiving behavioral health care. This onsite role involves planning menus, accommodating dietary needs, and maintaining food safety standards in a supportive residential setting.

You will collaborate with treatment staff and dietitians to meet residents’ nutritional needs while managing a kitchen that serves a critical role in the program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Professional kitchen, cafeteria, or institutional kitchen experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Utah Food Handler Permit, CPR/First Aid certification, and pass background, drug, driving, and TB screenings; valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Crisis Intervention Training Certification.

Responsibilities

• Create weekly menus.
• Manage inventory.
• Order supplies and help maintain food costs within budget.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations while keeping a clean kitchen.
• Work collaboratively with treatment staff and dietitians to support residents' nutritional needs.
