  • All employees may need FBI, PA Criminal Clearance, and Child Abuse Clearances.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Food Service Cook to oversee daily meal preparation and kitchen operations for a Residential Mental Health Program. This position is responsible for planning menus, ordering food and supplies, maintaining inventory, and preparing nutritious meals for approximately 25 individuals daily, including residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare daily meals for approximately 16 residents and program staff
  • Develop weekly menus that provide nutritious, balanced meal options
  • Order food, beverages, and kitchen supplies
  • Maintain inventory and ensure adequate stock levels
  • Receive and properly store deliveries according to food safety standards
  • Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to established schedules
  • Accommodate special dietary needs as required
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
  • Complete meal counts, inventory logs, and required documentation
  • Monitor food quality, portioning, and proper food storage procedures
  • Follow all food safety, infection control, and agency policies
