Job summary

Pathways Vermont in Williston, Vermont is seeking a Peer Respite Team Lead to supervise several peer support staff and deliver consistent, equitable peer mental health services in a welcoming home setting.

The role involves recruiting and developing staff, guiding intake and house routines, coordinating training, ensuring shift coverage, and supporting outreach and daily operations, with afternoon, evening and overnight hours.

Qualifications

• Personal experience of mental health distress is required.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes.
• Ability to share one’s own personal transformative life experiences.
• Experience supervising preferred.
• Experience in residential programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and provide ongoing support to peer staff providing services second and third shift.
• Provide excellent, consistent and equitable peer support services to individuals staying at the peer respite.
• Participate in and oversee team training in Intentional Peer Support and core competencies.
• Oversee intake by welcoming guests and reviewing house processes and norms.
• Maintain a welcoming, clean house and prepare rooms for new guests.
• Ensure daily shift coverage and support daily operations.
• Provide weekly supervision of supervisees and conduct annual reviews.
• Participate in agency leadership discussions and committee work.
