Job summary
Health Care and Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Residential Specialist for Beekman House in Proctorsville, VT. This part-time position (32 hours) offers an hourly pay range and several differentials to recognize evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.
The role focuses on supporting individuals with mental health or substance use challenges to develop independent living and emotional regulation skills aligned with treatment goals. Interest in gardening or music is welcomed on shift.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate/Bachelor's in psychology or human services preferred
- Experience with mental health or substance use challenges
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance and reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings, overnights and weekends
- Compassion, respect, and ability to set mutual boundaries
Responsibilities
- Support individuals living with mental health and/or substance use challenges to develop independent living skills and emotional regulation to achieve treatment goals
- Build strong connections and meaningful relationships with clients, using personal interests to enhance engagement
- Contribute to a positive, supportive team environment and uphold program values
