Job summary

Jones Street Residential in King of Prussia, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Supervisor and oversee plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry and painting tasks. This role includes on-call after hours and weekends to handle emergencies.

Responsibilities include responding to service requests, preparing vacant units, and maintaining work orders while delivering resident-focused service and safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in residential, commercial, or mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues relating to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Physical ability to lift 25–50 pounds frequently, 10–20 pounds constantly, climb stairs, use ladders, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to conform to shifting priorities and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests in a friendly and professional manner and ensure completion.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy with painting, carpentry, general repairs and other tasks.
• Maintain speed without compromising quality to allow others to complete their functions in the make-ready process.
• Repair holes in walls, caulk gaps around windows/doors, fix texture and patches, and texture walls/ceilings as needed.
• Maintain accurate work order logs with actions and supplies required for each request.
• Develop rapport with residents by providing superior customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
• Rotate on-call responsibility for emergencies during off-hours (nights and weekends).
• Adhere to company policies, OSHA, ADA, and Fair Housing regulations.
