Job summary

Northwest Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator in Lorain, OH to proactively solicit residential mortgage business from internal and external sources. You will promote homeownership, maintain relationships with referral sources, and navigate a range of loan products from conventional to government programs.

Responsibilities include submitting credit applications, ensuring regulatory compliance, and achieving production and quality goals while delivering exceptional customer service

Qualifications

• 3-5 years mortgage origination or sales experience
• Knowledge of conventional, government loan products and guidelines
• Ability to establish effective working relationships and communicate clearly
• Familiarity with Ellie Mae-Encompass or similar loan origination software

Responsibilities

• Solicit new mortgage lending opportunities and develop relationships with referral sources
• Submit complete credit applications with supporting documentation
• Review applications and determine appropriate loan products and pricing
• Counsel loan applicants to help them achieve goals and select best loan products
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of loan products and regulatory requirements
