Job summary

Regions Bank seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate and manage residential mortgage loans through a branch network in New Orleans and surrounding markets. You will collect applications, evaluate credit and collateral, and coordinate with processing and underwriting to close loans.

The role emphasizes relationship building with realtors, builders and financial planners, timely customer communication, and compliance with federal regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Extensive mortgage experience through referral partners (realtors, builders, financial planners).

Responsibilities

• Complete mortgage applications for submission to loan processing and underwriting.
• Evaluate loan requests and analyze financial data to determine qualification.
• Maintain contact with loan customers and communicate progress.
• Structure loans to comply with lending practices and regulations.
• Develop detailed marketing plan including potential and existing customers and channels.
• Answer calls and walk-in inquiries regarding loan products and qualification.
• Make sales calls to develop new business or retain customers.
• Cross-sell other bank products and services.
• Read surveys and appraisals and address encroachments or violations.
