Job summary

Interra Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to initiate the residential mortgage process for members and promote the Credit Union’s products and services.

You will prepare and analyze mortgage loan applications for purchase or refinance, verify documents, and solicit new business from realtors, builders, and referral sources. Strong customer service and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years mortgage loan, sales, or related experience.
• Experience with FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, construction/bridge/reverse mortgage loans is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management, Business Administration or related field; NMLS and State Licensing required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate the residential mortgage process for potential members and promote Interra Credit Union products.
• Prepare, analyze, and verify mortgage loan applications for purchase or refinance.
• Solicit new residential mortgage business from realtors, builders, and other referral sources.
• Maintain outside relationships and update members and realtors on loan status; attend title company closings as needed.
